Midori Yamanouchi Wildlife Collection
For three years, when I was a student at Design & Architecture Senior High, I interned at Midori Yamanouchi Jewelry (MidoriY.com). Most notably, I designed 8 of the 12 original animals in their signature Wildlife Collection, taking them from concept sketches, through the 3D modeling process, and into mass production.

Rhino Pendant Modeling
I built 3D CAD models of the pendants and earrings for use in the computer mold making (pendants) and laser cutting (earrings). These same models were later used in photorealistic 3D rendering that ultimately replaced photographic images of the jewelry for use in sales and marketing.

Designing the Jewelry
The animal shapes were designed for maximum visual appeal and ‘cuteness’ factor. The finishes were inspired by Apple products with lightly brushed fronts and contrasting high polished sides. The jewelry is available on E-commerce sites such as Zulily and specialty brick and mortar retailers such as Le Petit Duck Shoppe in Montreal and the Zootique at Central Park in NYC and has been purchased by tens of thousands of happy customers.
