Miami Design District Kiosk
The purpose of this project was to design a kiosk that would lie at the center of the Miami Design District to inform Miami’s diverse group of visitors on varying topics. This project was made during 10th grade at Design and Architecture Senior High, where I was in an architecture concentration.

Design District Site Analysis
In researching the site, it was important to analyze the Pedestrian Plaza and the type of movement throughout the design district. Another important component to analyze was the locations of the most visited areas so that I could pick out the perfect spot for placement of proposed kiosk.

Research
I looked into multi purpose kiosks that may also create some shade from Miami’s potent sun.

Concept Sketches
The drafted sketches to the left display components I felt would help inform visitors.

Rhino Model
The chosen kiosk design was rendered using Rhino. The kiosk is meant to work as a screen that can display news stations or sports stations while the bottom portion contains news papers, brochures, and magazines. A person works the inside of the kiosk to help any visitors who may have questions. I was inspired by Miami’s famous night life, its bright colors, and its neon lights (Art Deco).
